Soon the students wanted to add more than text and the race was on to include images which raised the question of copyright, (for a discussion on Australia and Creative Commons click here). They were shown the online image repository Flickr. To assist them in the process of sourcing Creative Commons images that they could use without breaking copyright I made some movies. One detailed how to Search for Creative Commons images

The students were also encouraged where possible to take their own images. As most images straght from a camera are very large there was a need also to show the students how to use basic image manipulation software such as the free Irfanview app, Microsoft Picture Manager, or Preview ona Mac.
